Andrew M. Davis, MD, MPH is an Associate Professor and Director of Quality in the University of Chicago’s Department of Internal Medicine. He is board certified in both medicine and in public health / general preventive medicine, and is a practicing clinician educator with research interests in quality improvement, prevention, medication disparities, and chronic disease. He supervises internal medicine residents on a weekly basis at the Community Health clinic in Englewood. He was the lead author on a 2007 systematic review on cardiovascular health disparities commissioned by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and was site co-PI on the NIH BARI 2D trial examining management strategies in patients with diabetes and coronary disease. He is certified in patient safety and healthcare delivery improvement by Intermountain Healthcare in Utah, and has completed CDC-sponsored American Medical Informatics Association 10×10 training in public health informatics.
