CCDTR Investigators present at 13th Annual Chicago Diabetes Day

May 16, 2018- The 13th Annual Chicago Diabetes Day took place this past Saturday, May 12th at the University of Chicago.  This conference is intended to serve as a forum for basic and clinical investigators, clinicians, and pharmaceutical industry personnel in Chicago and the Midwest to meet, share information, and discuss common interests with the goal of fostering collaborations between individuals and between institutions.

Various CCDTR investigators gave talks throughout the day:
Jill A. Weissberg-Benchell, PhD – Psychosocial Aspects of Closed Loop Systems for the Treatment of Diabetes
Namratha Kandula, MD, MPH – Diabetes in South Asians, the MASALA Study
Neda Laiteerapong, MD, MS – Economics of Personalizing Diabetes Care in the Era of New Medications

CCDTR staff member Parmida Zarei, BS won an award for her poster entitled, “Physician Feedback on the Quality of Diabetes Care: A Common Strategy with Moderate Impact.” Laura Dickens, mentored by Rochelle Naylor, MD, was also a poster award recipient.
