CCDTR Investigators present at Chicago Diabetes Day

May 16, 2017 – The 12th Annual Chicago Diabetes Day took place this past Saturday, May 13th at the University of Chicago.  This conference is intended to serve as a forum for basic and clinical investigators, clinicians, and pharmaceutical industry personnel in Chicago and the Midwest to meet, share information, and discuss common interests with the goal of fostering collaborations between individuals and between institutions.

CCDTR investigators Wen Wan, PHD and Katie Gunter, MPH, MSW, won awards for their posters entitled, “Cost-effectiveness of Continuous Glucose Monitoring of Type-1 Diabetes with Multiple Insulin Injections: the DIAMOND Randomized Trial,” and “Shared-Decision Making for Diabetes and Chronic Conditions: Experiences and Recommendations from Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) African American Patients.”
