The 2014 Power Up All Stars, Chicago White Sox and the University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital Season kicked off on Friday, April 11, 2014. The Power Up program is excited to partner again with these entities to combat childhood obesity with nutrition and physical activity promotion at U.S. Cellular Park for the White Sox’s Family Sundays. All PUAS stations are 30-second intervals of physical activity done along with game day patrons during the game and end at the top of the 7th inning. The next Family Sunday at U.S. Cellular Field is August 17, 2014!
Activity Stations include:
- Dance Party – Dance for at least 30 seconds to Power Up Program music hits or similar
- Hopscotch – Small, quick jumps or hops to numbered spaces after an object has been tossed to specific space
- Jumping Jacks – Up and down jumps using arms in a structured format for at least 30 seconds
- Hula Hoop – An all-body activity used with a circular apparatus for at least 30 seconds
