July #EquityChat – American Diabetes Association & Diabetes Disparities

The American Diabetes Association joins CCDTR Director Marshall Chin who also serves as the Director of Finding Answers for July’s #EquityChat!

The American Diabetes Association funds research to prevent, cure, and manage diabetes, as well as providing services to communities and individuals affected by diabetes. As a leading voice for diabetes research and advocacy, the American Diabetes Association has also prioritized the elimination of diabetes disparities.

Finding Answers: Disparities Research for Change is a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation national program office dedicated to finding what works to reduce and eliminate racial and ethnic disparities in care. Marshall Chin, MD, MPH, will be online to answer your questions about health care disparities, innovative interventions to improve minority health, and the state of disparities in diabetes.

Use hashtag #EquityChat to follow the chat on Tuesday, July 8th from 1-2pm CST (2-3pm EST) to learn about reducing disparities and improving health, ask any questions you have, and share what you are doing to take action for health equity!
